| Last week I preached on money and shared the rules of money-it is likely you never heard money preached quite that way…You should check it out here if you have not seen it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1rayOkY7HqM In that sermon, I shared the first rule of money which is Matthew 6:33: “seek first the kingdom of God and all these things will be added unto you.” You may say that does not sound like something I heard before in any managing money seminar. And that is likely true. But any discussion about money that does not bring God into it first, is a worldly discussion that is missing the biggest point. It is ALL about God, not all about us. We MUST learn how to seek Him first in everything we do. In relationships, in our work, with our kids and yes, with our money. Putting God first is the key to everything. Intellectually, most Christians would agree with that but the problem is putting it into practice in a world that is constantly fighting against that very thing. What does it really look like to put God first in EVERYTHING. That will be the subject of our sermon this upcoming Sunday. I would love to see you there. It is a message that is generically acknowledged, but rarely actually preached into practice. This Sunday we will try to make it real in practice. My goal is to have you walking out of there with a plan to start putting God first in real time, in real life, and start building up the strength to be a soldier of God in the times to come. Jesus is coming soon-time to get battle ready. Strengthen your walk with the Lord and you will be strengthened! It’s as simple as that. Being a truly devoted follower of Christ is EASIER then going the way of the world. Christ calls us to simplicity, we make it hard. So let’s find out how to put Him first and start the road to the “easy yoke” living Jesus talks about.
