| Psalm 1:1-3: “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful, but his delight is in the law of the Lord and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.” Most people, if asked the question, “do you want to be successful in life” would answer yes to that question. Of course you want a successful life-however you define that. The Bible is clear, not just in the passage above but all throughout, that reading the Bible, meditating on it, listening to it’s instruction and applying it, leads to a successful life. Jesus said, “if you love me, you will obey my commandments” John 14:15. That is Jesus, New Testament, not just Old Testament. So the question today is, have you read your Bible today? Meditated on it, thought about what it was saying and applied it? The Bible is God’s main way of communicating with you specifically to help you and guide you. Prayer is important, but God will SPEAK to you in His Word. The life that pleases God is NOT a set of religious duties, but to hear His voice and obey His word. Period. You can’t do that if you don’t read his word. So, do you want success? Get back to that Bible. True success depends on it. Get reading today!!!! Pastor Brian P.S.
