Forget Me Not

know this, the reason I'm so passionate about this word being true and for us to believe this and not what other people believe or whatever is because everything that I can test in here has tested out true, okay? Romans 8:28, he works all things for good. I just know when something, I get a curveball or going to Italy, Gabriel, whatever, that God's going to work something even better out of it. That's just how he does it.

He's done it so often for so many years that at this point I have to say it's indisputable evidence. And so the things I can test, I can't test some of the things in the Old Testament because they've already happened. But the things I can test, they always test out true. And uh I just want to say I'm very thankful for this church.

I'm thankful for you guys. I really love you guys um a lot. Uh it's it's it's it's just a a tremendous state of peace right now in my life. Um And I think um And another thing, when God shares with me stuff to do, every week when I come up here, it's it's fresh revelation.

It's what God's told me to talk about. It's what he's shown me and it's how he guided me and the way I work it is Monday and Tuesday I'm preparing it and then Wednesday, Thursday, Friday I'm praying and and and practicing it and then asking God to to remove or add whatever he wants. And so when I bring a message on Sunday, it's not something that I've looked to chat GPT to. It's not something that I've searched online to see if other pastors think the same thing.

I don't care what other pastors think. If Jesus Christ reveals me something in the scripture and he tells me to preach on it, I got to preach on it. And and next week's message, I know it's Memorial Day weekend, but if you can be here, God God is all over me on this next week message. However, right now I'm in a place of peace.

God's blessing my business, this church. I think everyone's growing. We start small groups tonight. It's It's just an exciting time.

And um he he brought to me something that is very critical. In times of blessing, when things are good, we should not forget God. We should not forget our God, okay? He warns about this in Deuteronomy 8:11-20.

Beware that you do not forget the Lord your God by not keeping his commandments, his judgments, and his statutes, which I command you today, lest when you have eaten and are full and have built beautiful houses and dwell in them, and when your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and your gold are multiplied, and all that you have is multiplied, when your heart is lifted up and you forget the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt from the house of bondage, who led you through the great and terrible wilderness, in which were fiery serpents and scorpions and thirsty land where there was no water, who brought water out of a rock, who fed you in the wilderness with manna which your fathers did not know, that he might humble you and that he might test you.

He will test you sometimes, okay? To do you good in the end, but it's to do you good in the end. Then you say in your heart, "My power and the might of my hand have gained me this wealth." And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get great wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

Then it shall be, if you by any means forget the Lord your God and follow other gods and serve them and worship them, I testify against you this day that you shall surely perish as the nations with the which the Lord destroys before you, so you shall perish because you would not be obedient to the voice of the Lord your God. Let me pray.

Heavenly Father, Lord, I lift up this message and I ask, Lord, that you um help people to to help these beautiful people here to to search their hearts for the areas that might be that you might be speaking to them. I I pray that you will speak to them. I pray that you will speak through me. I pray that your spirit will break out here, Lord.

I desperately want that. And um I just pray that we learn this day this incredible lesson cuz we are blessed and it's so easy to forget you when things are going our way. And so Lord, I just pray that we'll be aware of your presence daily, every day, not just today, but every day next week. This is in Jesus name I pray.

Amen. When we're going when things are going good, it's often easy to forget God, okay? The world is you know, glorifying you, the things you dreamed up are happening, things are great. Um and and it's very important for us not to forget God.

He literally says here he'll destroy them if they if they do that. Um now you may say, "Oh, New Testament, you know, we're we're not under that, but we're going to go New Testament in a minute." Um and say, "But if we put any idols, God is a jealous God." He is, he says it.

We don't want to talk about the things that we don't like to hear in church. We only talk about the things that, you know, tickle our ears, but but God is a jealous God. He doesn't want anything to be above him. So if your money can be above him.

I People have made their boats, their cars, you know, their spouses, their children, women especially, their children can be their idols, okay? Their gods. And um it's very important that we put God first. And here's the litmus test, okay?

Where do you spend most of your time and your money and your thoughts? Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. What dominates your thoughts? That is likely an idol.

And that is something that you may have to put down, okay? And discard. Even if it's a good thing, if it keeps you from Where am I? Okay, if it keeps you from I'm not used to having it under there, right?

Beautiful. If it keeps you from worshipping God, then then it's something that has to be done away with. I wrote this [clears throat] book, it's back there, you can take it for free. But Jesus in Revelation 2 and 3 shared letters to the churches, and I'm telling you these letters are to his end-time churches.

He wrote them to seven churches back in the day that no longer around, but just like when he taught his disciples, his disciples are all dead now, okay? What he taught them then applies to us now. What he taught us in these seven letters applies to us now, and you can see it all around you. Faithful Christians, compromising Christians etc.

It's types of Christians that you'll find today, and we're going to look at two of them. I think the letters, these let seven letters to these churches today in this end-times time is more important than Thessalonians Corinthians Timothy, all of Paul's seven letters to his churches, okay? Or nine letters to his seven churches. I think this is even more important, but it's not talked about because it's not it's not doesn't tickle the ears, okay?

But we're going to talk about it. The last two churches are very interesting. The final church, the Laodicean church, is a lukewarm church. The one right before it is a faithful church.

So, you have one extreme and and and I think another. And so, we're going [clears throat] to read Revelation 3:14-22. This is the lukewarm church, the Laodicean church. And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, "These things says the Amen, the faithful and true witness, and beginning of the creation of God.

I know your works, that you were neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then because you are lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of my mouth. Do you see why no one wants to preach on this stuff?

Because you say, "I am rich, I have become wealthy and have need of nothing." And do not know that you are wretched miserable poor blind and naked. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich and white garments that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed, and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. As many as I love, I you can chasten.

Therefore, be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into him and dine with him, and he with me. To him who overcomes, I will grant to sit with me on my throne, as I also overcame and sat down with my father on his throne.

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The loudest thing in church is a wealthy church. >> [clears throat] >> Money has come in. Things are going their way, okay?

And when that happens, it's very easy to fall into a lukewarm state where you claim you you love Jesus, but you're living for yourself, okay? That's that's not being hot, and it's not being cold. You're not cold cuz you still claim Jesus is Lord, but you're not hot because you're living for you and not for Jesus. And Jesus says something pretty drastic there.

He's going to vomit them out of your mouth, okay? Um >> [sighs] >> this country is fabulously wealthy. Okay? When you look at the poverty what they call the poverty line in America, that is more rich than half the globe.

Half the globe. If you woke up this morning and you had water flowing out of a shower, you're better off than a third of the globe, okay? We don't even understand how wealthy we are here, and when you when you think that the church today by and large talks about the blessings of God and that and and all this we need more stuff. It it it's almost psychotic, okay?

We become a church and I'm not saying this church necessarily. I'm saying the church general in America loves the blessings of God and not the God of the blessings. Okay? And we've got to get to a place where the God of the blessings is the goal, not what we want, okay?

Godliness with contentment is great gain. 1 Timothy 6:6. The key is just man, just be happy with what you have right now, right? But but that has to come from a heart that's chasing after God cuz God will fill you up in those areas, but you've got to chase after him first.

Okay? He says here um those that he loves, he rebukes and chastens because he loves us. He tests us. You may come into things that are tough.

When that happens, look to see what God's teaching you, okay? What did you forget to do? Have you forgotten God? Have you Have you chased after things that are not what he wants for your life okay?

He and and he says he does that because he loves us, okay? And then he tells us to be zealous. If we're that lukewarm person, you you acknowledge God as your savior, but you live your whole life for yourself. He says repent.

Be zealous and repent. Zealous is you you like chasing after. Get back to chasing after Jesus. And I think the [snorts] next verse, verse 20, is the saddest one of the saddest verses.

John 6:66 and this verse are the two saddest verses to me in the Bible. And it says, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into him and dine with him and he with me. Why is Jesus on the outside of the Christian's heart?

Why is he having to knock, man? That's not where you're supposed to be. That's a lukewarm Christian who's not spending time. It's not about religious things.

Come to church, that doesn't mean you're necessarily letting God into your life Monday through Saturday, okay? This can't be a half hour or an hour on a Sunday gig. Not That's God's a jealous God. He wants to be number one.

Okay? Um we must be zealous for the Lord. Anyone I don't want anyone in this church to be spit out of their mouth. Okay?

So, for me, I want to challenge everyone today as we're sitting here, think through the things that might be stopping you. Now, the faithful church, Revelation 3:7-13, little bit different gig, but still really neat, okay? And I think it's neat that this church and then the lukewarm church they're right next to each other. I feel that's ordained somehow.

And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia, this is Revelation 3:7-13. And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia, write: These things says he who is holy, he who is true, he who has the key of David, he who opens and no one shuts and shuts and no one opens. I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door and no one can shut it.

For you have little strength, have kept my word, and have not denied my name. Indeed, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say they are Jews and are not, but lie. Indeed, I will make them come and worship before your feet and to know that I have loved you. Because you have kept my command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world to test those who dwell on the earth.

Behold, I am coming quickly. Hold fast what you have that no one may take your crown. He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the the of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from my God.

That happens right at the end. The new Jerusalem comes down. And I will write on him my new name. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

So, the first interesting thing in there is he opens up a door that no one can shut okay? Don't get me wrong. God does bless us, okay? I'm not saying God doesn't bless you.

I'm not saying you don't you're not going to get blessings from God, okay? Here it says he opens the door to his blessings and no one can shut it. That means he can leave it open as long as he wants. Even during the tribulation period, he could pour out blessings if he chooses to.

He's the boss applesauce. He gets to do that if he wants to, okay? But he opens up a door and and but start thinking it's about us. That we did it.

Remember in Deuteronomy, that we did it. That somehow all these good things are because I worked real hard or I did this or that, right, you know? Oh, I'm getting better at preaching, so now uh that's why I church No, man, it's got nothing to do with that. God brings whoever he wants here, okay?

And um and so that's that's who's going to be here. And I'm good with it. Because this is a beautiful church. Um in verse 10, he says something that's very important.

It's a game changer. Um sometimes you read a verse and it's like, "Whoa. All right, how can that be?" Because you have kept my command to persevere.

They kept the command to persevere. Why would a faithful church who's being blessed have to persevere? Hey it's good bad things happen to good and bad people all the time. If a tornado hits a town, if there's Christians in the town, it could kill the Christians and the non-Christians.

It's just That's just how it is, okay? So, life is hard. Jesus said in this world you'll have trial and tribulation. So, even when God's blessing you, things can go awry, right?

I feel God's been blessing me, but she's leaving Gabriel I mean, things disruptions happen, man. God's going to work it out. But he says, "Keep my command and persevere. I will also keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world to test those who dwell on the earth."

I've preached on this before. I can't think of anything that will test the entire world except for the mark of the beast, okay? Where the Bible says every person on this planet will have to have that mark to buy or sell anything. Whether it's medicine, whether it's food for your kids, whether it's whatever.

Everyone will have to have it, okay? And that's going to test whether you trust God or whether you trust yourself okay? And it's not as easy [clears throat] as you think, and we need to be training ourselves up for that time, okay? But here's something interesting that hit me.

I wrote a book. There's seven churches, seven types of Christians, okay? There's judgmental Christians. The first Christian group were like the Pharisees, the first group he talks about.

There's Christians that are lukewarm. There's Christians that compromise, Christians that are corrupt, and Christians that are faithful. Of the seven groups, only one is told they'll be skip the mark. Only one.

Now, these are all Christians. He's writing them to churches. They've asked Jesus into their heart. That means not every Christian on this planet who calls himself a Christian is going to be raptured up, okay?

Not only that, since the mark happens more towards the end, this is going to be closer to the end. So, we're all going to have to go through it, okay? Now, it's nothing to be afraid of because God loves us, and he can keep the door open. But I believe the church in America has been sold a bag of goods, okay?

And it's And I think we don't even realize how deep the deception goes because cuz we've heard it for so long, okay? >> [cough] >> We [clears throat] hear that if we ask Jesus in our heart, he'll begin to help us to live as better husbands, wives, etc. etc. If we do this, God will bless us.

If we do this, God will bless our work. If we do this, God will bless whatever. It's it's a doctrine steered towards us on the throne getting what we want with God's help from from this book, okay? But but you can't read this book pure and and simple and believe that that's how every one of those disciples followed him hard.

And most of them ended up murdered. Yeah. That's not fair. Why would he give me something just because I said a quick little prayer, okay?

It it it doesn't even make sense what we do it. Not only that, they tell us we're going to get raptured up and skip everything and all these bad people are going to have to go through the tribulation. That's not true, either. You can't find it anywhere in scripture.

It's not true. We've talked about that before. But the other subtle thing is this once saved, always saved, okay? Which that exact phrase does not appear in the Bible.

All right? There is a phrase that says no one can take you out of his hand. But we read here in the Laodicean church that there are lukewarm Christians that he's going to spit out of his mouth. Now, I don't know about you, but anytime I've ever thrown something up, I don't then swallow it and and take it back in, okay?

If you're thrown up, you're thrown up. You're out. You're not getting in, okay? Brian, that's harsh.

No, you're lukewarm, okay? Right before this church, the faithful church, is the dead church. They're a church that asked Jesus into their heart and then spent the rest of their lives living for them and never gave God the time of day. Jesus actually says there he's going to blot them out of the book of life.

Now, think about this. If you ask Jesus in your heart, you get in the book of life. But if you ignore him the rest of your life, you may get blotted out of that book. According to Jesus, not me.

That means not everyone is going to be saved who said a quick little prayer and then went about doing their life their way. You know, hell insurance. It's unfortunately when Jesus says, "Many will come to me in that day, didn't I do all these things?" And I say, "Get away from me, I never knew you."

The the the people that preach once saved, always saved say, "Well, those people aren't really saved." You can't say that about these people. There's seven letters to seven churches. They asked Jesus in your heart.

You can't be in the book of life if you didn't ask Jesus into your heart. So now he can blot you out. So it's not true once saved, always saved. You can walk away from Jesus.

It's the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. You can walk away from Jesus and not get to heaven even after you once said you loved him. You don't hear that preached very often, but it's truth. And and and and and then you take that to its extreme where you see in a lot of churches where it's okay to do anything cuz God's just going to forgive you.

Okay? So if you want to be homosexual, you can be homosexual. If you're married to a wife, but you want to cheat with somebody else, it's okay. God loves you.

He knows you your heart. He knows how hard you struggle with this, you know? But that's not doctrinally pure. That's not right.

Okay? You can act like that and end up screwing up. Now, no one if you're if you're seeking after God, no one can take you from his hand. That's true.

It's absolutely true. You can sin, feel bad about it, apologize to God, ask for forgiveness, and then 6 weeks later sin again in that same sin, apologize, forgive me, and he'll forgive you 70 * 7, okay? As long as you're turning and trying to get better and lengthening the time, he will keep forgiving you. I know this from my own thing.

There are There are deep things that I had that that God convicted me on. I tried to work through and it took years to break out of it and I mean, you start getting almost ticked at yourself that here I am again, God, apologizing for the thing, you know, I've been trying to get rid of for 2 years okay? >> [clears throat] >> I'll never forget, I was at an accelerate and there was a a woman there um that I spoke with and she had fallen back three other times, okay?

And this was her fourth time coming back to the program. And um she said, "But this time it's different." And I said, "Why is it different this time?" You know what I mean?

Cuz each of the times she believed God loved her and she believed that she was forgiven. She says, "This time I've forgiven myself." Sometimes it just takes growth till you get to that point where you can break through, okay? God will keep forgiving you and forgiving you.

But if you reject him and you walk away from him and you don't try and he tells you not to do something but you do it anyway and you don't care that he doesn't like it, porn, whatever it is, okay? There's a chance he says, "Dude, I didn't know you." I'm sorry. And and we're taught to believe a God that fits our lifestyle.

But God's a jealous God. It's not okay for us to be number one and him number two, our helpmate helping us. That he's the he's the groom, we're the bride. We're his helpmate, okay?

It's not the other way around. We got to get this right. In verse 11 here he says, "Behold, I am coming quickly. Mark my words.

Mark my words. He is coming soon. It's coming." But he says, "He who overcomes" in verse 12, Revelation 3:12, he says, "He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God.

He'll be solid. He'll be solid like a rock if we trust him." Why do we overcome? Because we're supposed to be overcomers, okay?

We're supposed to be overcomers. We're supposed to cling to the Lord and he will take care of us. When that time comes and there's lots of people who are only in Jesus for what he can give them. They tithe a little to get back.

They serve a little to get back, okay? When the blessings and the money stops and the church in America is broke like the churches in other countries, okay? Some will go will get sold out and become committed, but a lot of people are going to fall away. Okay?

He's not giving me what I want, forget him okay? And they may be cast out. >> [sighs] >> But Jesus says in Matthew 24:13, he says that the love of many will will grow cold in that time. But he who endures to the end will be saved.

Again, that's Matthew 24:13. Why do we have to endure to the end if we got raptured up at the beginning? Again, you like the so many verses violated, you can't even really you know. But but it's it's believed by most people.

Um But this church is not going to falter, man. We're made for this time. We are. I see around me people that are just great Christians, okay?

You guys are seeking it. You guys are um you're 15 of the 20 people in this church are signed up for small groups, man. That's amazing. Okay?

That's 75% of you want to grow and get better. That shows me your heart. It's all about the heart. It's not your your activities, it's your heart.

But the activities will will kind of show you where your heart's at, right? And so that's why they that's why Jesus looks at the actions. I know your works, he says over and over. Um And this church I mean, financially, this There's churches that have thousands of members aren't as financially strong as we are.

It's crazy. I I'll have a year's worth of expenses set aside by the end of next month. But I don't count on those expenses cuz that's just one year in the 7-year tribulation period. I count on Jesus.

I know God's going to take care of his faithful church. I know it. He just is. Okay?

I will keep the command to persevere, but we must put him first. Any other idol we need to lay down. We need to do it today. Okay?

Where do we spend our time and our money? Okay? What thoughts dominate your days? Ideally, you wake up in the morning and you've got kingdom thoughts.

Okay? Here's some kingdom thoughts straight from the mouth of Jesus. Seek first the kingdom. Matthew 6:33, man.

We've We've probably said this 4 weeks in a row now. Okay? Um seek first the kingdom of God. Okay?

When you're reading scripture, you have to be careful the context. When Jesus said that verb, you can take it out of place and say, "Well, he says if we just follow him, he'll give us everything we want." Okay? And he does say he'll all these things will be added to you.

Okay? But in the context of what he was teaching right there, he was talking about worry. He was talking about don't worry about your clothes. Don't worry about your money, you know, don't worry about that stuff.

I'll take care of that. You just worry about God. Okay? That's ideally what it has.

And I want to show you something that's really um Now, I'm going to go to another couple scripture. Luke 9:23. Here's another kingdom thought. If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.

That's so countercultural to the normal Christian today whose goal is to get what he wants. You know? Prayer of Jabez, all these things. Get what you want.

Prayer of Jabez, I was thinking about it because Prayer of Jabez was a huge book and it talked about him praying to enlarge his territory. Okay? But we've got to understand Jabez was born in pain and his whole life was pain for everyone else around him. He wasn't blessed at that time.

God does exalt the humble, okay? He says he does. He exalts the humble and he also can take down the proud. No one in America was in the position that Jabez was in.

So, so we got to understand the context around everything, right? Um, if anyone desires to come after me, deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. What does that look like? I'm a single man.

Okay? I am. There are days where I come home and I'm like there are days where it'd be nice to have a wife, you know, to to cuddle next to. Okay?

Be neat. Um, there are days that um Well, for many reasons, um it'd be nice to have a wife. But, guess what? Okay?

You know what I'm talking about. Um >> [laughter] >> And And you're like, my life is so peaceful right now. Why would I want to bring in any anything? But, the truth is there is still the flesh, okay?

There is still the flesh. And there's still a desire for that thing and there's nothing wrong with that desire. There's nothing wrong with having a good wife. The Bible says a good wife is a good thing, okay?

It It There's nothing wrong with it. But, if I go onto the Christian Mingles and I spend most of my adult waking time trying to find a wife, she's become an idol. The search has become an idol. And it's no longer God first.

For me, laying down the flesh means I've got to lay down that desire for a wife. Maybe God wants me single because the next 7 years what he's called me to. Okay? I I have to trust God.

That's so countercultural where the church will teach you how to get a good wife. Mhm. >> [clears throat] >> Just what God wants for you is all that matters. We should seek him and then whatever he tells us to do, that's what we do.

And if that means Brian Piercy is single for the next 7 years or if he plops someone in this thing next week, I mean, that's all up to him, all right? And I trust him cuz he knows what's coming and I don't. All right? And that's the place where you be.

And if you're already married, you have to spend and focus on that marriage. But it's not a question. What I'm talking about is not a question for a married person, okay? You don't have to look around and see who God wants you to be.

You're already with the person God wants you to be with whether you like it or not, okay? Get better at serving her or him, however it goes. Um Matthew 10:38, "And he does not And he who does not take up his cross and follow after me is not worthy of me." And I want to be worthy of Jesus.

So, I have to lay that flesh down and join the dance between the Trinity, okay? And I'm challenging everyone today the same thing. As a band comes up, you guys come up. I keep going back.

I'm off my game. What thoughts, what desires, what worries do you have? Okay? When you wake up in the morning and you're laying there in bed, what are you thinking about?

All right? What is the thing that you worry about the most? Is it how your kids are going to turn out? Is it how this will happen, that will happen, life, whatever?

What is it that you worry about? What is it that you think about, okay? Your thoughts, your desires, your worries, if any of them take precedence over the Lord, you've got to lay them down. And I'm begging you today to use this time that we're here in this song to lay it down, okay?

Trust God. Don't be deceived. You can get tested by God in an area that you're you're putting above him. And it'll be a wake-up call, hopefully, for you.

But rather than let [music] him test, just lay it down. Then you don't have to worry about it, right? If you don't want to get arrested for speeding, don't speed, all right? Yeah.

If you don't want God to get on to you because you're putting someone above him, put that thing down. Lay it down voluntarily. It's more glorifying to God, anyway, okay? It's like, you know, just obey dad.

I mean he's got your good at heart. Just obey the man. The God. >> [music] >> Um if there's something that you believe you need to be happy and that you won't be happy unless you have it, that's an idol.

Doesn't matter if it's a good thing. [music] A good thing can be an idol. Life's a good thing, but if it's precedence over God, it's an idol. You got to put it down.

You got to put it down, man. Where are [clears throat] you not obeying him? Okay? Lay it down.

Pick up your cross and begin to obey him. [music] Anything in your life that's more important than God lay it down. I beg you, lay it down. >> [music] >> You can lay it down right here.

Just say, "God, forgive me for this." Man, I do this three There's at least three times a week I have to get on my knees [music] and pray over something that I realized Yeah, I I should have been counting her yesterday or I should have done whatever. I I I It's just God's always bringing stuff to my to my thing. And that's a beautiful thing.

Anyone who knows me knows that I've grown tremendously over the last few months, okay? For [music] the last few years. And and that's all Jesus. That's got nothing to do with me.

That's just Jesus, he you know, I [music] don't want to say hammering me, but saying, "Dude, lay down." And me going, "Okay, lay down." As you wish. Um So, what in your life is more important [music] than God?

Not by your thought. Intellectually, you think God's most important, but what do your actions and your heart [music] show? From the time where you spend your time, your money, your thoughts, your worries. What's really >> [music] >> the idol?

Come up here, lay it down, pray a prayer. God will forgive you, move it as far as the east from the west, [music] and you rise up free. Just trusting God and not trying [music] to figure this life thing out yourself, that's why it's so peaceful right now for me. It's not hard.

Like, God's got you. He He'll He'll take it. If my only responsibility is obeying him, I don't have to worry about what's [music] going to happen in the stock markets today. I don't have to worry about any of the stuff that we worry about.

It's more freeing to give control of the things that you can't control [music] to Jesus. Cuz you can't control them anyway. I can't control Trump. I can't control Xi or any of the >> [music] >> world leaders.

But I can trust God who's going to take care of me no matter what happens. Okay? I know it. >> [music] >> I know it deep down in my heart.

And so, anything that's more important in your life, the challenge here is to lay it down. It's the only smart play is [music] to lay it down. I encourage you to come up and lay it down, too. Let's pray.

Heavenly Father, Lord, God this I feel like this is an important important message because we so often love you with our heads, but then our hearts and our actions are different. [music] And Lord, we want to be one congruous thing where we're where we're tethered to you, to where we're >> [music] >> where so in sync with you that life just becomes easy. It's an easy yoke living >> [music] >> because we're just simply doing what you tell us to do. And Lord, I pray right now this day that I know [music] there's things that are holding people back.

Just, I pray that they get real with themselves. [music] It's just you and God. Get real with yourself. Lay it down.

He's a forgiving, loving father. [music] He's going to forgive you. Um, just lay it down. And rise up and just feel the freedom of of of not carrying that shame, guilt, and sin.
