Sermon from Pastor Brian Peart

Getting Your House in Order

August 29, 2026Spiritual and Practical Preparation

Message overview

About this message

This message from The Great Awareness Church emphasizes the importance of spiritual and practical preparation during challenging world events, particularly as signs point to the end times. The speaker outlines that believers should not be fearful of global turmoil, but instead, get their 'house in order' by focusing on spiritual disciplines such as prayer, Bible reading, daily repentance, confession, obedience to Jesus, faith, and maintaining humility.

Practical steps include having resources stored for times of crisis and being ready to help others rather than retreating in fear. The message uses passages from Matthew 24, 25, and other scriptures to explain how Jesus instructs believers to stay vigilant, steward their lives and resources faithfully, and serve others.

The overarching call is for Christians to remain emotionally, spiritually, and practically strong, fulfill the great commandment and commission, and trust that God’s protection is assured for those who follow His ways.

What a message you're going to hear today. So, uh, this church, before this church, I did a podcast called The Great Awareness and, um, we did that for a couple years. And, uh, and then God called me to start the church. And so, I kind of put that podcast away for a little while because I'm up here every week.

I can't come up with more than one message a week. It's just too much when I when you have a real job. Um, not that this isn't a real job, but you know what I mean. Um, but the the juxiposition of that is this.

We're to be aware of the times that are around us. Okay? We're not to sit there, see things going on in the world, and just kind of sit there and saying, "Well, I hope it all works out. Let's stay in our little church click and um, you know, not not talk to anyone and not change anybody's life."

Okay? Um, we're not supposed to do that. And so [clears throat] we're supposed to be wise like serpents and gentle like doves. Okay?

We're supposed to be in the world and not of it. We are supposed to look out at what's going on from a spiritual perspective and then act accordingly. Okay? And the message today is called getting your house in order.

Because whether you know it or not, we're we're we're near the end times. Okay? >> [sighs] >> Let me give you two overarching things that are happening right now so that you can understand all the little stuff that happens. Okay, it's much easier to understand things when you understand the big picture.

Um, the church age is coming to an end. Okay, Jesus is going to be coming soon. We don't know exactly how soon. We don't know exactly when.

Okay, but it's soon. It's not later. it's soon. Once you understand that, you understand why certain things are happening.

Um, [sighs] underlying that is another overarching thing. We are in World War II. All right. I the media is not calling it that, but that doesn't mean it's not.

So, the top 37 nations by GDP and all the nuclear powers are currently involved in war, actually fighting or funding war. That's more nations in war type activities right now than there was in World War II. All right. And [snorts] what happens with world wars, so you'll understand is that it's not going to end until someone wins.

So there's not going to be when when when America struck Iran, I did a a a video about it and I said it's not going to end with us winning because I understood the overarching picture.

when when a a country when a world war starts like in World War II was Britain was the big dog on the street and even though they won the war they were broke they were bankrupt and a new power had to come over it was us we became the the power of the of the you know in the in the world the reserve currency of the world when a world war happens that changes so either China we're going to ultimately go like that and either China's going to go like this or it'll be a new 10-headed type of uh 10 nation type of thing that that comes and it's the the mark in the end.

Okay? Either way, the stuff that's happening right now isn't going to end. Okay? And that's not something to be afraid of.

We're going to talk about that in a minute. If you know something's happening, you can get prepared for it. That's what we're talking about today, to get prepared for it. Not scared, okay?

But prepared. My job is to get you guys ready for when Jesus comes, but also for the time in between now and when he comes. All right? That's that's my job.

That's what I'm supposed to be doing. Many [clears throat] people are seeing these things. You guys are seeing these things. You know, something's up, right?

But but but we tend to just not do anything about it and hope it's just going to work out. It's not going to work out. America will go down by 2030. It's not a prophecy.

It's just the way it's going. We won't be gone from the face of the planet. You know, Roman fell. Rome fell.

I could still go to Rome, Italy, right? It's just we're not going to be a superpower anymore. It's [snorts] not a prediction. It's just the way it's going.

All right? [clears throat] But we need to be ready for that because guess what? There's going to be people freaking out and we have an opportunity to to lead them and guide them and back to this word. Okay?

Okay. And none other than Jesus Christ himself tells us what we should be doing to get our house in order. So today's message is getting our house in order. And we're going to start in Matthew 24.

Matthew 24 and 25. I probably live here and in Revelation most of my most of my sermons, right? This is uh the longest answer to a question. And that question was this.

Jesus, what's going to happen when you come back? And Jesus tells for two chapters of the of the bo of the Bible what's going to happen and then how we should be living. Okay? He starts with what's going to happen and then in verse 32 of Matthew 24 he transitions into how we should be living.

And so today I want to share with you how we should be living in these times and how we should be getting ready for these times. Not out of fear knowing that Jesus is in control. And if we get our house in order, Jesus says he will supernaturally take care of us. Okay?

We're gonna we're going to see in Psalm 91 how God promises to take care of us if we get our house in order, but we have to do our part. And so that's what we're going to be talking about today. Um, and here's the thing. We're not promised tomorrow.

Right. Right. So, is there any downside to getting our house in order anyway? We should be doing that.

We should be ready. We should be uh on our game. The first time the phrase get your house in order appears in the Bible is in 2 Kings 20 where Isaiah tells King Hezekiah to set his house in order for you shall surely die. Um, and so we're going to talk about our spiritual house in order and and just getting our house in order.

me and Zach were speaking um about this subject. So the guy who teaches the other Bible study out of this thing also has written a book on Revelation. So you got two guy in a little church of 20 people. You got two guys who've written Revelation books, right?

That's kind of wild but we were talking about and he just jotted down some stuff that I had been doing but but the way he jotted it down um is perfect. I mean that's his handwriting there, not mine, right? So so a lot of this is coming from him. So, I have to give kudos to you, young man.

Um, and and and you got to remember, we are not this physical body that you look at when you look in the mirror. All right? That's not that's not ultimately you, right? You're this spirit that's going to go on ultimately to heaven.

You will have a new body at one point. So, so these this these rags will be gone and we'll be in these new glorified bodies at some point. So, what matters is getting your spiritual right more than anything. And that's what we're going to be talking about.

So, if you have a notepad, you can jot these down. I think they're really good. Most of them are daily habits that we need to do. The Oh, did I read it?

I didn't even read it. All right, let me I'm jumping way ahead. All right, let me read Matthew 24:32-47. This is Jesus.

Now, it's all red letters. Now learn this parable from the fig tree. When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also when you see all these things, know that it is near at the doors.

Assuredly I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away. Now a lot of people get confused on that passage right there. Um and and I mean it even led to a type of group that that's called the predtoists that believe that everything that that happened has already happened in 70 AD.

All right? Because it it but but we have to understand the context of this verse. Jesus is asked what's going to happen in the future. And he tells them what's going to happen in the future.

And then he says this generation that sees these things will by no means pass away. We're this generation that sees these things, okay? We're we're the ones. And so you can say, "Oh, Brian, they've been saying that for a hundred thousand years."

The things like one mark of the beast, one world currency could not have happened even a hundred years ago, but they can happen now. So it can all happen now. It is time. It is the 2,000 years.

It is the end of the church age. And so we are the ones who are going to get to see this time. Now verse 36. But of that day and hour, no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but my father only.

So we don't know. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the son of man be. For as in the days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving him marriage until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will be the coming of the son of man be. Then two men will be in the field, one will be taken, the other left.

Two women will be grinding at the mill. One will be taken, the other left. Some people say the word rapture doesn't show up in the scripture and the that actual word doesn't. But here Jesus is talking about an event where some are going up and some are staying behind.

Okay? It will happen at some point. So he's just talking about the future of what's going to happen and it's in our time. I believe watch therefore.

Remember he said you'll know when summer is near. Summer's near guys. He says watch therefore for you do not know what hour your lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.

Therefore, you also be ready, for the son of man is coming in an hour you do not expect. Who then is a faithful and wise servant whom his master made ruler over his household to give them food in due season? Blessed is that servant whom his master when he comes will find him so doing. Assuredly I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his good.

So, we don't know exactly when, but we can tell that it's close. Okay? We are this generation, and there's things he's telling us to get ready at the end at the end of this little passage that I just said, he's talking about us being stewards. He is left to go back to be seated at the the right hand of God, right?

And he is coming back. And when he comes back, he expects us to be good stewards of what he's left us with. Okay? Okay, do you get that?

So, so getting our house in order is getting ourselves into a place where we're good stewards. So that if he comes at a time we don't expect, we're ready. We're good. All right.

We're we're not sitting there saying, "Oh gosh, I wish I could have, you know, let's not get there." So, here's putting your spiritual house in order. All right? And and again, you could jot these couple things down.

Put them on your mirror. Just remember to do them every day. The first one is praying daily. Okay.

Most one of the one of the most important things you can do is pray daily. Pray thanking God for this day. Okay? Because you you're he's going to we're going to we're going to heaven one day.

Okay? But for today, he's given us our breath and we can we can go and we can work and we can love. We can get gifts. We can give gifts.

We can we can love. Okay. Pray for his protection over yourself and others. Be intercessorary prayer, which means you're praying for other people.

We just prayed for God. Okay? Pray for people. Pray every day.

And don't just talk to God when you're praying. Be still and silent and let him talk some, too. All right? We can be really guilty of that where we're doing all the talking.

You know who's the smarter of the two, me or God? I need to be listening to him more than, you know, I need to be telling him. [snorts] So pray daily. The next thing, read this thing daily.

All right? Every day, read this thing daily. [snorts] This is God's main communication level. This is how God through the Holy Spirit teaches you.

Everyone wants to know, "What's God's plan for my life?" Man, it's right here. It's right here. You just got to open it up a little bit every day and he'll give you wisdom and guidance in the middle of your day.

It's beautiful. Okay. The Bible is key. So between praying it daily and Bible daily, you're literally that's the main communication channel for God and you want to stay connected to God because in these times God's the one who's going to protect you, not not you.

He can't you can't control anything. You can't control what happens. All right, [sighs] we just pulled a the last tanker out of out of the Asia-Pacific. Um, we just stopped uh um a war war things we were going to do with South Korea.

Now, we just announced that US, Japan, and South Korea are going to now try to run some sort of war exercise over there. And uh and North Korea said if they do, they're going to retaliate. So, it's getting serious over there. I wouldn't be surprised if even in September, China attacks Taiwan or something.

Okay? Not because I think these things I want these things. That's just what's going to happen. Okay?

It's a world war. The whole world is lining up. The sides are lining up. So, we need to be ready.

So, by your praying daily and reading your Bible daily, you are you are keeping that connection daily because he's the one who can keep you safe. Okay? and secure. Third thing, repentance daily.

All right, this is huge. Oh, by the way, praying daily. You, Todd, who always hits the snooze button. 5:30 on Friday morning, he's texting me a passage out of Hebrews and, you know, saying that, I'm like, "Yes, man.

Todd's getting into it." 5:30 in the morning. Um, so that was very cool. And so, he's getting into it.

he's starting to pray daily and you know hopefully uh reading that Bible daily and and uh repentance repentance keeps the channel open. Remember God can't be where sin is? So if you've got sin in your heart, you've got unrepentant sin in your heart, you got something with somebody. Okay?

Understand it's against God that you sin. So many people will feel bad that they did something. Okay? And that's being feeling bad about your action and how you might have hurt your kids or hurt somebody else.

But that's still not repenting of the sin because it's against God that you sinned. Okay? So the the the person who uh divorces or cheats on the the spouse who then, you know, feels really bad about the carnage that happens afterwards and in her or his family um and and and feels sorry about and apologizes for it uh to God. They don't understand.

They made a promise under God till death do them part. And they broke their promise to God. They've got to repent of the thing they did wrong to God. Not when David in Psalm 51, when David had committed adultery with Basheba and then killed her husband, he said, "Against you and you alone have I sinned."

We've got to understand that we're when we sin, we're sinning against God. And we've got to ask him to forgive us of that sin. And he will. He will.

He promises to do that. All right? There's only one sin that he won't forgive you of, and that's rejecting Jesus. Everything else, he will forgive you if you ask in a repentant heart and then try to turn.

And then you don't have to carry it with you. And then the Jesus says if you go to the altar and you have something against one of your brothers or sisters. Okay? Leave your gift and go and reconcile with them.

All right? Confess confess your sin to someone else. So you repent to Jesus and then you go and you get that relationship in order. Confessing daily.

So repentance daily, confession daily. James 5:16 says, do you have that up there? Confess your trespasses to one another and pray for one another that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

We're to confess our sins to each other. If we're going to be a remnant church, we've got to be open and honest to each other. Okay? None of us are perfect.

I'm up here and almost every week I unveil something that I've screwed up on, something that I need to apologize for, something I've If you go back and watch all of my sermons, you know, every sin I've done in the last 20 years, I'm good. Yeah. Like I'm not carrying any baggage. No one's going to come out of the college and say, "Oh, he did this with No, I already told them about that on, you know, July 3rd."

Um, and so I'm confessing to you, kind of kind of um modeling for you what we need to do. We need to be confessing to each other and then praying for each other. Okay? You, if you're repenting to God and you're confessing to the other people, then you're freed up and you're clean.

People who don't do that, people who who who um keep it hidden, the sin hidden, and then they try to overcome it with maybe, you know, being holier than thou or pointing out the sins in everybody else so no one's sitting there looking at them. They're they're wrapped in anxiety and worry and fear. Be free, man. Let everyone know that that that's in your sphere where when you mess up, don't hold it in.

Don't hide it in because the devil will attack that stuff. Okay, bring it out and let everyone know and then you're free. You don't have to worry about anything. Okay, the next thing.

So, B praying daily, Bible daily, repentance daily, confession daily, and then increasing your obedience to Jesus. Last week, we learned John 14 and 15. At least five times Jesus says, "If you love me, obey me." Okay?

If you love me, obey me. Our lives should be uh it should be evident in our lives that we're growing to be more like Jesus. It should just be seen. People who know us should be saying, "Wow, you're really changing."

That should be happening to us. And if it's not, get back to praying daily, Bible daily, confessing daily, repenting daily, because it will begin to go that way. All right? obeying God, loving God, loving others, and going and making disciples.

All right? Increasing your obedience. Next, faith. [clears throat] Faith, not fear.

You cannot be afraid in these times. All right? The devil will use fear and he'll mess you up. you if you if we want God's protection and provision on us, we have to have faith that God is going to protect and provide.

All right? We have to have faith in him. We can't be sitting there scared. So, you hear these things about uh uh this happening in China or this happening wherever.

Understand that it's going to happen because it we're in a world war. World Wars don't end without one side winning. That's just how it goes. It's not something I want.

There's not going to be some giant peace treat amongst all these countries and everyone just says it's fine. Somebody's going to win and somebody's going to lose and it won't end until then. So until then, it's going to keep getting worse. It's not going to get better just magically.

So rather than being afraid of that, let's have faith that God is going to take care of us in this time because he says he will if we get our house in order. Okay? So, so no fear. The devil will use fear.

So just as soon as you start thinking, "Oh gosh, what's going to happen?" or whatever, say, "God's got this. God's got this." Once you understand that God is in control and God is all powerful, then the world is a safe place.

It's no longer a scary place. What's going to happen? Whatever God, it's okay. God's in control.

What happens if I get hit by a car tomorrow? Then I'm God was done with me. Well, you know, then I'm with him. I mean, it's there's there's nothing really bad that can happen as long as we're doing what God wants us to do.

What happens if um Muslims take over and we begin to be uh um persecuted as Christians? Man, then I'm I'm being persecuted just like Jesus. Praise the Lord. What happens if they kill me?

Then I'm with Jesus. Praise the Lord. Like, as long as you understand that he's in control, this world's not scary. It doesn't have to be.

We have to have faith not fear. Next one. Humility. No pride.

Okay. Pride leads to deception. Do you understand that? Pride leads to deception.

And if we're proud and we're prideful, then the devil can come in. Who's the father of lies? The devil. Right?

Who's the real enemy here? It's not Putin. It's not she. It's the devil.

and he's going to try to deceive us whenever we can. And pride pride leads to deception. We are stewards of what God has asked us to do. And so we're nothing more than that.

Jesus said when you start if you start doing these things, you're going to grow. And as you grow, people might say, "Wow, you're becoming so spiritual or you're becoming so this." Say, "I'm just a humble servant." Jesus tells us to say, "I'm just a humble servant.

I'm just doing what God tells me to do." All right. Someone said something about the the last week's sermon or whatever. It was great.

And I'm like, I'm just doing what God tells me to do. I'm nothing special. I'm just doing what God tells me to do. We have to be humble before the Lord.

And and a lot of these things, getting on our knees daily, you know, praying daily, reading the Bible daily, these things will keep us repenting, confessing, these things will keep us humble. All right? We And and you want to stay humble. Now next, so that's the first parable.

Jesus tells us to get ready. Get our house and get ready spiritually. Okay. Then he switches to the next parable.

This is 25 verses uh 1 through13. This is the the parable of the 10 virgins. And we've studied this before. All right.

But this is actually a supply issue. All right. Right here. All right.

It's very interesting. So you remember the story there's 10 virgins. Um, five of them had oil, extra oil with their lamps. Five of them did not.

Okay. And at midnight, I'm on verse six of 25. At midnight, a cry was heard, "Behold, the bridegroom is coming. Go out to meet him."

Then all those virgins arose and trim their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, "Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out." But the wise answered, saying, "No, lest there should not be enough for us and you, but go rather to those who sell and buy for yourself." off.

And while they went to the buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding, and the door was shut. Afterward, the other virgins came also, saying, "Lord, Lord, open the door." But he answered and said, "Surely I say to you, I do not know you. Watch, therefore, for you know neither the day nor hour when the Son of Man will come."

So this speaks to provision. They didn't have enough supplies to make it through the tough time. Okay? If we are in a world war as as as I've laid it out and if America is ultimately going to go down.

It's not if America will get attacked. It's simply when it could be as early as September 11th or it could be next year. It won't be past 2030 because that's when the whole thing ends. So it's going to have to happen before we will get attacked.

What will that look like? Bombs, the electric grid going out, all these things. It's my job to prepare you for this stuff, right? So, you should have, now this is where me and Zach disagree a little bit, okay?

I think it's like you should have two to four months of food and water, okay? In reserve. All right? You should have that in reserve.

He says four to he says six to eight months, okay? And then you can be generous. So, because of him, I'm ordering more stuff, okay? Just because of you.

Um, it's like on my list to do this week. you know, I went into my stuff and I saw all that was ready and I had the twins bring stuff from my office back over and and now uh and now I'm getting ready. But but you want to have food. Um if you have meds, you want to have extra meds.

You want to have these things in case the electric grid goes down. It could go down just from a thunderstorm. All right, there was an ice storm in Texas that knocked the grid out for six weeks. So, it just makes sense to be ready for such a disruption because then you can be a rock while everyone else is running around freaking out.

See, that's really what we're looking to do here is this is going to be the greatest evangelical time of in all of history. People are going to be freaking out. They're going to be looking for answers. Why is this happening to me?

And we can steer them to the answers. This is a wonderful, wonderful opportunity for us not to be afraid, but to be prepared for when things come. Okay? It's just wisdom.

[sighs] If you have the wherewithal, you can move into a more rural area, but but do not do like uh some people will be like end of the world people will be like, "Oh," and they try to find a somewhere and hunker down for seven years. That's taking yourself out of the equation. Okay? that's taking if you go completely off- grid when no one ever sees you again, how are you how are you changing people's lives at that point?

God's told me to stay right here. So, as long as as long as even if there's no electricity, I'll ride a bike up here on 10:30 on Sunday morning and I'll be preaching whoever can show up, you know, if there's no if my car won't work or if if any of that, I'll be here. Um because he's told me to be here until he tells me to leave. But that's that's he's making it clear I need to be here again.

Running and hiding in fear is not what we should be doing because the last parable he talks about is the parable of the talents. And the parable of the talents is about working. Remember the parable of the talents. You know, you got five, you had 10, you had two.

The other guy, he worked and he made it to four. And then the one talent person just buried his talent. He did nothing. The other two worked.

And when the master came back, because he's coming back, when he comes back, the guy who had five talents and worked and made it 10, well done. The guy who had two talents and worked and made it four, well done. The guy who had the one talent and buried it, throw him out because he wasted the talents that I gave him and the stewards that the stewardship that I gave him. Okay?

We have a job to carry on the mission God has given us. That's our job. All right? It's not Yeah, you may have a physical job where you work.

I do. And I I use that to help fund this church and fund other ministries. Okay? I I it's a tool.

I don't see my work as something I do. My work is a some function of the bigger picture, which is serving the Lord with all my might, with all my heart. Okay? We're [clears throat] not supposed to be sitting around worrying, oh my gosh.

And we're not supposed to be pretending that nothing's wrong and it's just going to all get okay magically one day. It's not. It's not. That's not realistic.

That's not even intelligent to do that. All right. It's more intelligent to be prepared and then be serving God in what capacity in the great commandment and the great commission. The two things he told us to do.

Great commandment. Matthew 22 37-4. What was that? That's you, isn't it?

All right. Matthew 22:es 37-4. Jesus said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment.

And the second is like it. You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. We're supposed to love God and then love others.

People are hurting. People are hurting and they're they're more people are getting more hurt as we go along, not better. Things aren't getting, you know, better. Most people's lives, they're they're they're struggling more with money.

They're struggling in all these areas. Okay? Things are getting tougher. We're supposed to love on them.

This is going to be a time when it gets really bad. This is going to be a time where people are like, "Why is God allowing this? You know, why is that happening?" Um, you know, beliefs are going to be shattered.

People thinking they were going to get raptured up and now all this stuff's happening and they're in the middle of what's I thought I thought I was going to get to skip everything and then we have to guide them back to what the scriptures say. Gotta guide them back. Okay. We have an opportunity to love on people.

love God first and that's what these these steps each day are. Okay? And then loving on others. When everyone else is freaking out, we're going to be calm because we know this is all coming down and we're ready for it.

We need to be ready for it. Okay? That's all. Um we need to be emotionally ready.

We need to be stir spiritually strong and we need to guide them back and help them through. Not we shouldn't be trying to survive. We should be ready to help others because we got our house in order. We got our spiritual house in order.

Okay. Then he says the great commission. Matthew 28:18 through 20. You do these two things.

You're serving the Lord in in in the ways that he tells us to serve him. All right. Great commission. This is Jesus speaking.

28 verse 18. Uh all authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. He has all authority. Devil has none.

He has all authority. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you. And lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Like I said, this is going to be the greatest evangelical time ever.

People are going to be like, "But I thought there were many ways to God. But I thought this, but I thought that." And and the earth is groaning for the coming of the King. It's going to be apparent.

And we're going to have a an we're going to have the opportunity to share with them the answers to steer our friends and family, loved ones that maybe thought you were cuckoo because you pushed a Jesus envelope. Okay? They might start listening when the stuff is going down that you told them was going to go down. Okay?

They might start listening. You may be able to to lead them back. So, we need to be ready to be a rock if we get our spiritual disciplines in order. If we're doing these things daily, we can be a rock in this time and help people guide them back to where they need to be.

And if we do, God promises us he's going to protect us. And I'm going to end on Psalm 91, that protection that Jesus talks about. So Psalm 91 verses 1 through13. Okay.

Um and I'm just going to read this is God speaking through the psalmist. He who dwells in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the almighty. I will say of the Lord, he is my refuge and my fortress, my God in him I will trust. Listen to listen to what he promises here.

Surely he shall deliver you. He capital H that's God shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. There's a chance that there's another uh vac you know what what's CO called? Virus.

There's another virus that might come. Okay, that's a possibility. But God says here he'll protect us from the perilous pestilence. Don't be counting on uh a vaccine to do it.

Okay. Trust in the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your mind, with all your soul. All right. Uh, and from the perilous peasants, verse four, he shall cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you shall take refuge.

His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side. The first four seals are about war, about inflation, and about a virus.

Okay? And by the time those four seals are done, two billion people with a B will be done. Will be dead. That's one quarter of the earth, okay, will be dead.

That's a lot of people. But God says here, "A thousand may fall at your side and 10,000 at your right hand, but it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look and see the reward of the wicked because he you have made the Lord who is my refuge, even the most high your dwelling place. We've got to make the Lord our refuge.

That's why we've got to do these daily disciplines. We got to pray and we got to confess and we got to got we got to we got to read this Bible, okay? So that we're making him our refuge. If we do that, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your building.

For he will give his angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone. You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent. You shall trample undefeally [clears throat] speaking to you.

So please close your eyes. If you're watching online, close your eyes. This isn't Brian speaking to you now. This is this is God speaking to you through um the man.

Okay? Because you have set your love upon me, God, therefore I will deliver you. I will set you on high because you have known my name. You shall call upon me and I will answer you.

I will be with you in trouble. I will deliver you and honor you with long life. I will satisfy you and show you my salvation. Heavenly Father, Lord, I thank you so much for an opportunity to just take your word and share it.

Um Lord, I pray that we look out at this world not with fear but with intelligent eyes, seeing what's to coming and knowing that you're in charge. You're the boss. and um you're going to take care of us because you say in your word that you will and your word is good and your word is truth. And so I Lord, I just pray a hedge of protection over everyone under the sound of my voice.

I pray your hand on this church and on everybody in this church, Lord. And I pray your hand on my life and and uh my my children's lives, Lord. I just pray for you to um protect us. And Lord, I thank you for an opportunity to love you and to adore you and um in Jesus name.
