So many Christians suffer from wounds that they do not bring into the light. And as such,
they stay in the dark and in a place where the devil can mess with them. These wounds
often lead to a performance-based thought process which is really a form of validation.
That parent didn’t give them the affirmation that they needed when they were young, and
they are striving hard to prove that they are successful to finally show that parent, I made
it. This may carry on even after the parent has passed away. I myself had this issue, and
it was many years of working hard to prove I was somebody before God finally got this 1
thing through my thick head-I was ALREADY validated.
You and I are created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27); we are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Then God Himself came down, and took a vicious beating and died for me, and for you. Little old us. What kind of love is that? Can’t measure it. The God of the universe has put His stamp of approval on you if you accepted His Son as Lord and Savior. You are worthy; you are validated; no other proof is necessary. We have to get that deep into our souls.
If you are a single person-you are validated. You don’t need to find a mate to validate
you.
If you are packing your schedule with church activities to “prove” you are a good Christian-stop for a second. You are already validated; God will not be more pleased with you the more you do. He is already pleased with you-He loves you.
IF you are working overtime to buy the next house, next car, to prove you are successful,
stop. You are already successful; you are a child of God. The money can’t be taken with
you and proves nothing to the only voice that matters.
Only 1 opinion matters: God’s. And the verdict is...validated. Loved. Precious. It took
me 20 years of being saved to get this through my thick head, but once you really get it
down deep in your soul, you can finally spend your days in a peace that surpasses all
understanding. Go to Scripture, read it. See what it says about you. Look at that Cross,
see how much the Father loves you. Get it down deep in your soul; it will change your
life! Be blessed!
