How to Deal With the Daily Grind!

How to Deal With the Daily Grind!
Not every day is a home run or a train wreck. Many days are just... days. You hit the routines; you do what you need to do. It’s not sexy, but the job needs to be done. It is during those times that people can get most down… the bad day puts you in crisis mode, and the good days are, well, good! But the grind, the day in and day out routines, that is
when your mind can wander because you are doing tasks that take no mental energy, and the downward spiral of negative thoughts can come in. You have seen it happen: one
negative thought leads to another, and soon you are down a rabbit hole of depression.

It is at those times that you need to remember your mission and vision. Why are you here? Why are you doing this job, and who is it for? We need clarity on these things to keep us centered during those days that are just a grind. The Apostle Paul in Scripture
was a class A grinder. Every day, day after day, no matter what he faced, he stayed on
mission, on point. He had a driving mission-to reach the lost and tell them about Jesus.
And that passion for that vision drove him to keep going, even when quitting would have been easier. The highs did not excite him too much, and the lows did not bring him down much, and during the everyday grind- he just stayed the course. The key was a vision greater than himself.

So what is your vision? If you are a Christian, you don’t have to look far for your mission; Jesus gives it to us in Matthew 28:18-20, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you….” Put simply, our mission is to reach and to teach! You can do that at work, at home, wherever God has placed you. Get clarity on this mission, get caught up in the great love song between a Savior and His beloved, and feel a new energy toward everything you do. Do that, and the day-to-day grind becomes much more bearable. And join us at church on Sunday to get fed and fired up! Our people are growing every week; they are becoming more like Jesus, the fellowship is real, and you feel the love the moment you walk in the door. Join us, won’t you? And if you have children, we now have childcare for ages 12 and under. Be there or be square! Sunday at 10:30 at 900 Cripple Creek Dr., Lawrenceville, GA. See you there!
